Planting for the bees..
Want to plant for the bees here is a list of some of my favourite plants to brighten up the yard and feed the pollinators.
Spring - Prairie crocus, Shooting star, Golden bean, Alumroot, wild strawberry, yellow prairie cornflower.
Summer - Blue eyed columbine, Lupine, Blazing star, clover, Jacob’s ladder, Fireweed, golden asters, wild bergamot, Silvery lupine, Raspberries
Late summer - Blacked eyed susan, canada goldenrod, Many flowered aster, stonecrop, Smooth aster, Sunflowers.
Flowering trees are also a really great addition to your yard. I love crab apples, lilacs, cherry, wild rose, saskatoon bushes and willows.
